``ME:I'' is an 11-member girl group newly selected by ``national producers'' for the first girls' version of ``PRODUCE 101 JAPAN THE GIRLS'', Japan's largest survival audition program.
The group name has the meaning of ``future idols'' representing the new Japanese generation.
